Collabhouse is the new way to release, promote and monetise your music

A new music release, promotion, and sync licensing platform, Collabhouse gives music makers the tools they need to reach new audiences. It enables you to distribute your tracks to over 50 streaming and social media services (including Spotify, Apple Music, and TikTok), promote music through influencer collaborations, and make it available for sync licensing. You can even use it to provide your fans with a collectible in the form of royalty-split NFTs that support you directly as an artist.

Aside from the music distribution, there are three other main strands to Collabhouse, starting with the Collab Market. This is Collabhouse’s online platform where music makers can team up with Content Creators to promote their tracks on social media.

The Collab Market already features 100s of both leading and up-and-coming social media influencers, and it’s easy to make direct deals with them to promote your music in their content. You can negotiate a simple fixed-fee collaboration involving a single transaction or agree on a royalty-split collaboration. In the latter case, a percentage of distribution income is assigned to the content creator for a fixed term; the more they promote it, the more people will stream it, and the more both parties will earn. Win-win!

For your peace of mind, all proposals, negotiations, and approvals are managed within the platform, and payment is due as soon as a collaboration has been delivered. And the good news is that Collabhouse doesn’t take a cut - you and your collaborators get to keep all the money.

If you’ve never tried to make money from your music before, sync licensing - which involves placing your music in another piece of content in exchange for a fee - can be particularly tricky to understand. However, Collabhouse does the heavy lifting by allowing you to add your content to its Music Library, the second of its four pillars. This can be accessed by the creators of ads, podcasts, games, TV shows, and other commercial content; you can set your terms, conditions, and prices for micro sync usage. So, all the admin is taken care of while you remain in full control.

You can publish your music under your name or create an alias, and the service works on a non-exclusive basis with no minimum commitment and no assignment of rights. License fees, terms and usage types are set by the rightsholder (you, in other words), and you can offer free sync usage licenses for promotional purposes.

Finally, there’s the NFT Market, which enables you to create free NFT drops for music distributed through Collabhouse. These are minted on the Polygon blockchain as soon as they’re sold and can be sold on secondary marketplaces (such as OpenSea). Any royalties accrued from NFT sales can be collected from Collabhouse at any time, by the NFT owner, with transactions taking place via Paypal and credit/debit card rather than cryptocurrency.

Like all the elements of Collabhouse, the NFT Market is highly functional and user-friendly, thanks to a simple, intuitive interface. The platform has been created by a team of experienced music industry specialists who know what creators need.
