The big day is over, but the Cyber Monday deals are in alive and kicking at Sweetwater! The music retail giant is offering musicians a phenomenal discount of up to 70% off music gear, but be warned, the sale ends in a matter of hous. So, whether you're shopping for a new guitar or a set of studio monitors, it's the perfect place to get your hands on some of the best gear in the world for a lot less right now.

As you'd expect, there are too many discounts to name, but one that caught my attention was $600 off a Gibson Les Paul Standard, plus two free pedals. The Gibson Les Paul is the dream instrument for so many guitar players, and now you can get your hands on one at a seriously discounted price and fill up your pedalboard simultaneously.

If you are looking for a microphone for your productions, I'd check out the Slate Digital VMS ML-1. It has a huge $300 discount and uses modelling technology to give you the sound of many classic mics in a single house. Featuring classics like the U-47 and Sony C800G, it's a great way to get a classic mic locker without spending five figures.

Over the course of the Cyber Weekend, we tracked all the best Cyber Monday Sweetwater deals right here, so keep scrolling for quick links to the sale, as well as some handpicked products from the expert writers here at MusicRadar.

Peavey Classic 20
Peavey Classic 20: was $999.99 now $899.99 at Sweetwater Sound

It’s one of the best value tube amps on the market, but the latest iteration packs in a ton of connectivity and handy features like power attenuation and USB/XLR outputs. It scored four stars in our Peavey Classic 20 review – losing a few marks for its shared EQ and cheap footswitch – but it’s otherwise a very solid performer. Now you can scoop it up over at Sweetwater – and shave $100 off the usual price.

Pigtronix Constellator
Pigtronix Constellator: was $179 now $99 at Sweetwater Sound

At just $99, the Pigtronix Constellator is a brilliant deal at Sweetwater thanks to a huge $80 reduction in their Beat the Holiday Rush sale. It's an analog delay pedal that delivers a luscious warm wash that belies its budget price point. It's a seriously underrated bit of gear, and we love the modulated tones it can deliver, as well as the mini size which means it's easily able to fit onto any 'board.

Alesis Strata Prime (expanded)
Alesis Strata Prime (expanded): was $4,449 now $4,149 at Sweetwater Sound

The Alesis Strata Prime Expanded Electronic Drum Set is as extra as it sounds - ‘expanded’ relates to the additional tom and cymbal you get in the box. This version is a seven-piece kit with 6 cymbals (hi-hat inclusive), and a supremely powerful touchscreen module with an incredible library of BFD-derived sounds and kits. For us, this is the be-all end-all e-drumming solution, with I/O to die for. Usually $4,449, this premium piece of kit has a generous $300 discount over at Sweetwater right now.

Yamaha DTX6K3-X
Yamaha DTX6K3-X: was $1,899.99 now $1,599.99 at Sweetwater Sound

Yamaha only really entered the Cyber Monday discounting game last year, but now they've gone all in. Currently Sweetwater has discounts on three mid-priced DTX kits, but my top pick is $300 off the excellent Yamaha DTX6K3-X. The saving brings the price down to $1,599.99 on a kit that, in our 4-star review, we said: "the pad surfaces themselves feel great to play, and the included sounds are certainly among the best we’ve played at this price range in recent times".

Roland TD-07DMK
Roland TD-07DMK: was $799.99 now $699.99 at Sweetwater Sound

A $100 saving makes this fantastic beginner kit even better value. Honestly, I've recommended this kit to players who are well beyond beginner level too, thanks to the combination of all-mesh Roland pads, excellent hardware and a neat little module. It's an ideal beginner kit, step-up kit, or home practice kit for more seasoned players.

The DTX8K-X shares the same features as the DTX8K-M above, except the playing surface changes from mesh heads to Yamaha's TCS pads. Get it now with $400 off.

Zildjian ALCHEM-E Gold EX 5-piece Electronic Drum Kit
Zildjian ALCHEM-E Gold EX 5-piece Electronic Drum Kit: was $6,999.95 now $5,999.95 at Sweetwater Sound

Earlier this year Zildjian, the 400-year-old cymbal company, waded into the e-drum fray with this stylish offering, built around its impressive E-Vault module with a 5” touchscreen and around 32GB of on-board sounds, including a host of ever-expanding, updatable cymbal sounds sampled from Zildjian’s vault.

Roland TM-2 Drum Trigger Module
Roland TM-2 Drum Trigger Module: was $249.99 now $229.99 at Sweetwater Sound

It may be showing its age, but the TM-2 is still a very compelling option for the hybrid-curious, with the ability to load your own samples from an SD card, map them to a pad and play them as part of your kit, and remains more configurable than its younger TM-1 sibling.

Alesis Strike Amp 12
Alesis Strike Amp 12: was $399 now $349 at Sweetwater Sound

There's a chunky $50 saving on this powerful e-kit amp at Sweetwater right now. If you're sick of wearing headphones when you practice, or you want to jam with friends, this 2,000 watt powerhouse is the solution. It's also compact enough that it won't dominate a small space

With a massive $200 discount, this is one of the cheapest prices I've ever seen an Apollo Twin X going for, most likely due to the fact that Gen 2 recently launched. Don't let that put you off if your budget can't stretch to the latest model, this is still a phenomenally good audio interface for home recording.

Sweetwater Cyber Monday deals: FAQ

Does Sweetwater do Cyber Monday sales?

Sweetwater's Cyber Monday sale is one of the biggest shopping events of the year for musicians, delivering epic discounts on instruments, software and so much more.

Cyber Monday 2024 at Sweetwater will take place on Monday, 2nd December, but we expect the offers to start much earlier than that and to carry on through to Christmas.

If past years are anything to go by we'd put good money on some deals landing in October, giving shoppers early access to Cyber Monday levels of discount, without the stress of making purchases so close to Christmas. Shopping early also means people can plan their budgets better.

If you want discounts on musical instruments, the Sweetwater Cyber Monday sale is where you should be looking - we’ll be rounding up all the best deals here.

What deals should I expect?

Last year’s Cyber Monday sale at Sweetwater was a real bumper affair, with a huge array of offers on all types of musical instruments and accessories, from guitar amps and Black Friday plugin deals to electric guitar strings and home recording gear.

So we’re expecting this year’s Sweetwater Cyber Monday sale to bring more of the same, and cater to every type of musician. Sweetwater has been running all sorts of sales throughout 2023, which leads us to believe it’s gearing up for a very exciting run of offers in the lead-up to Christmas.

Based on what we have seen in previous years, you can expect to see big discounts on major and more boutique brands popping up among the best Sweetwater Cyber Monday deals. Last year saw massive discounts like up to $210 off Shure Microphones, $400 off Roland V-Drums, and a healthy $50 off Focusrite interfaces. If you're into guitars there were plenty of discounts on six-string instruments too, including a huge $500 off the Schecter Corsair.

Is Sweetwater good to buy from?

Sweetwater has been garnering a reputation for some of the best customer service throughout the whole music retailer industry. Not only is their customer service top-notch notch but they also have a massive product selection, so chances are if you're after a particular piece of music gear, they'll have it.

We value our reputation so we would never recommend a retailer that isn't brilliant, so we can wholeheartedly recommend Sweetwater as an excellent place to buy music gear from.

How to prepare for this year's Sweetwater Cyber Monday deals

1. Create a wishlist early - There can be a lot of deals flying around on Cyber Monday, so it's important to zone in on the things you really want. Making a wishlist is a great way to keep your focus when the sales start happening.

2. Work out what you actually need - Consider your current gear collection and outline where the gaps are. Are you missing a delay pedal from your pedalboard? Perhaps you need more connectivity on your audio interface. Whichever it is, having a plan ahead of time will prevent you from pulling the trigger too early and regretting your decision.

3. Consider your music-making goals - Is your band going to be playing lots of gigs in the new year? Perhaps you're finally going to record that solo album you've been putting off for years. Think about what you want the new year to do for your music-making career, and buy gear that will help you hit those goals.

4. Make some room - Have you got enough room for that 4x12 cabinet? Having a pre-sale clearout is not only a great way to save space in your practice room or your home studio but can also free up funds for more gear!
