One overdrive pedal is never enough; we're all searching for our next holy grail of gain. Well, us travellers have a bit of respite right now because there's genuinely excellent deals to be found in Cyber Week. And while it's now comfortably common to see $200+ price tags on premium and boutique overdrives we say NOT TODAY! We're looking for proper bargains, and we've found a brace of them under $100 to be pounced on before the sun sets on Cyber Week.
And some of these are under half price with over $100 off! But seriously, be quick – Sweetwater has most of the best deals we've linked below and they are saying their sales ends at the end of 27 November.
Bogner Burnley V2 Distortion: $179.99, now $79.99
There's some crazy reductions on Bogner overdrive pedals at Sweetwater right now including this analogue cult classic that's under half price! Featuring a custom audio transformer, it'll take you all the way up to high-gain saturation. There's a Fat-Tight switch for metal and more organic rock tones too.
Bogner Ecstasy Blue Mini Overdrive: $199.99 $89.97
This is a HUGE $110 reduction on a great little overdrive for British-flavoured gain from Bogner that's packing in a lot; active three-band EQ with a very useful sweepable mid frequency to cut through the mix, pre-EQ and a Variac on/off switch that adds dropped-voltage compression.
Bogner Ecstasy Red Mini Overdrive: $199.99 $89.97
Big tones and a big $110 saving make this an absolute bonafide pedal bargain. Push things into the red with high-gain overdrive based on the Bogner Ecstasy amp, active three-band EQ with a very useful sweepable mid frequency to cut through the mix, pre-EQ and a Variac on/off switch that adds dropped-voltage compression.
EarthQuaker Devices Plumes: $99, now $84.15
One of the best TubeScreamer clones money can buy, Plumes has an amazing amount of sonic versatility, with a trio of modes that can give you Marshall crunch, a clean boost or, of course, screamin' drive. All of this, of course, comes with EarthQuaker's unique sonic footprint. Already a great value at $99, Plumes can now be had at Guitar Center for $84 – a whole lot of pedal at that price point.
MXR M249 Super Badass Dynamic O.D.: $129, now $99
Featuring MOSFET clipping diodes and a super-simple control set highlighted by a nifty Boost/Cut switch, this stompbox can function as a smooth clean boost or a conduit for screaming vintage gain. We've been excited about this unit since it launched just a couple of months ago, and now its price has been cut to an amazing $99 by Guitar Center.
Keeley Red Dirt Overdrive: $179, now $99
Green Dirt? A Sweetwater exclusive Green Sparkle finish with a special saving on this superb germanium overdrive pedal that shines for blues and classic rock tube-style breakup and dynamic saturation. It does premium lower gain well too for superlative stacking. Huge tones here and a huge $80 at Sweetwater off to sweeten the deal.
