Chop up to $400 off your dream guitar with Fender's Mod Shop free upgrades promotion - for a limited time only
Get free upgrades on Mod Shop guitars and design your dream guitar for less

Who says getting a guitar custom-built to your specifications has to cost the earth? Well over at the Fender Mod Shop, you can now make some huge savings of up to $400 on designing your dream guitar thanks to a slurry of free upgrades. All of Fender’s most popular models are available to customize to your heart’s content, making it a brilliant early Black Friday guitar deal you can get your hands on right now.
For, err, research purposes I had a go on the Fender Mod Shop to see what it would cost to put together my dream Strat - totally not because it’s fun putting together your idea of a perfect guitar. I went for a monochrome satin black body with a rosewood ‘board and matching painted headstock, a chrome-covered Shawbucker with V-Mod single coils in an HSS format, and a set of deluxe locking tuners, all of which were free upgrades.
In the end, the price came out at $1,899.99, which when you consider is less than the cost of an American Ultra II guitar, is pretty great value. There’s a huge array of items to choose from to help you design your ideal axe, and reasonably priced to get you a guitar you won’t see anywhere else.
Fender Mod Shop: Save up to $400
Bag your dream guitar for less with this awesome sale over at the Fender Mod Shop. With up to $400 worth of free upgrades you can save massively on body woods, necks, pickups, and hardware, all put together to your exacting specifications. It’s such a big saving that it’ll take your custom guitar below the value of Fender’s highest spec’d current stock model, the American Ultra II.
If you’re bored of regular guitars and want something that just isn’t available through regular retailers, then now’s a great time to design your perfect guitar. Your body wood can be upgraded completely free, giving you options like Mahogany, Ash, and Roasted Pine that will give a different feel and tone to that of Fender’s more typical Alder body woods.
Necks have also got a huge array of free upgrades, allowing you to save on probably the most important aspect of any electric guitar. You can go all-in on a Mahogany neck and body combo, add in a solid Rosewood neck with matching fretboard, or go for a fantastic-looking roasted maple neck. There are also aesthetic upgrades available for free like block inlays or a black-painted headstock.
There’s a huge selection of pickups too, that will suit all tastes whether vintage or modern. If you prefer your sounds classic, you can get a free upgrade to American Vintage II pickups, or go for a more modern vibe with V-Mod and Gen 4 Noiseless pups. There’s also the Shawbucker humbucker available if you want more girth in your tone, as well as an array of configurations to match your needs.
