Velvet Revolver album delayed but UK tour dates for June
Velvet Revolver
's second album Libertad will now be released on 2 July rather than the planned 28 May.
The first single for the album, She Builds Quick Machines, is expected to surface in mid-May and VR's six-string legend Slash has told Guitarist to expect new material and a revitalised band for their UK tour in June - including an appearance at Donington's Download festival on June 8.
“We did five shows a little while back here in California and just in those five shows it showed the band has become seasoned," says Slash. "It´s a lot more laid back and there was a lot of adjusting at the beginning of the tour for the first album. But we´ve got a lot more experience under our belts now.”
For more on what guitar thrills we can expect to hear on Libertad, check out Guitarist's interview with Slash in issue 290 - on sale 10 May.
