Music Rising Les Pauls go on sale
One year after Hurricane Katrina, the Music Rising charity set up to help musicians affected by the Gulf region hurricanes has announced the sale of the limited edition Music Rising Epiphone Guitar, with all proceeds going directly to the fund.
The organisation was set up late in 2005 by U2´s The Edge, producer Bob Ezrin, Gibson Guitar Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz, and MusiCares, with the aim of replacing instruments and equipment lost as a consequence of Hurricane Katrina. To date, it has helped 2,000 professional musicians replace their equipment.
The Music Rising Epiphone Les Pauls will be sold exclusively through Musician's Friend (www.musiciansfriend.com): the guitars feature exclusive artwork and the campaign's slogan, ‘Rebuilding the Gulf Region Note By Note.´
A custom Music Rising gig bag and a signed certificate of authenticity will ship with each guitar; the retail price is $599 USD. Visit www.epiphone.com for images of the guitar, and www.musiciansfriend.com for more info.
