On Saturday 13 June, The London International Music Show will host the final of the Guitar Idol 2009 contest.
The contest´s website has seen over a thousand undiscovered guitar talents contesting four online heats. The final heat even received national TV coverage in the US, Chile, Romania and Pakistan. And the final 12 have been selected: four by virtue of winning their heats and eight more chosen by a panel of professional judges.

In addition to the winner earning some tasty gear prizes, Steve Vai´s Favored Nations label (home to Eric Johnson, Andy Timmons, Tommy Emmanuel and Frank Gambale) will be releasing the Guitar Idol 2009 album in digital format.
