Kravitz For Velvet Revolver?
We hear rumours that Sir Lenny of Kravitz is the new vocalist in Velvet Revolver. As reported in that respected tome of balanced and accurate music reporting - well, The Sun - a ‘source´ told the paper...
“Velvet Revolver´s new album will draw heavily on their messy split with Scott [Weiland]. The band wanted a big name who could easily hold his own and reckon Lenny is just the man for the job.”
Of course Lenny and VR guitarist Slash have been pals for many years and, as far as we´re concerned, the recruitment of ‘former wildman´ Kravitz would certainly herald a new musical era for the band. We're just grateful it wasn't Seb Bach...
Where this leaves the constantly talked-about Guns ‘N Roses reunion is anyone´s guess, but we hear that the latter´s Chinese Democracy album is due out ‘any day now´.
Sigh...

“Teenage Dirtbag has always felt like a bit of a queer anthem to me, even if it wasn’t meant to be - I love that I didn’t have to change a single lyric”: Cat Burns releases “unapologetic” cover of Wheatus’s 2000 hit
Simon Bradley is a guitar and especially rock guitar expert who worked for Guitarist magazine and has in the past contributed to world-leading music and guitar titles like MusicRadar (obviously), Guitarist, Guitar World and Louder. What he doesn't know about Brian May's playing and, especially, the Red Special, isn't worth knowing.
