Jester Minute: Blackmore Marries!
Join us as we send our heartfelt congratulations to Richie Blackmore, who married his long-time partner Candice in a ‘castle´ on the Hudson river recently. From the selection of pictures posted on the official Blackmore´s Night site, the celebrations took on a predictably medieval air, with mead flowing around the happy couple and much capering taking place on the dance floor. She looked a picture in a lovely white gown, while he was clad in some sort of gold-fringed jerkin.
Shots include the groom happily pointing to the sky after he'd spotted a ‘horseless flying carriage powered by devil juice´, and a guy and his merry maid trying to upstage proceedings by both coming dressed as 13th Century monarchs.
"Forsooth, thou lookest well hot, pet. I fear I hath spent in my britches..."
Reports are unclear as to whether former coves and eternal sparring partners Ian Gillan and David Coverdale were invited, but we´re pretty sure we can spot Old Cov flicking the vees from the ramparts of said castle as the guests below discuss whether or not the earth is flat...
