Guitarfest 2009
2009´s Guitarfest begins tomorrow (Saturday 11th) at Birmingham´s NIA and it promises to be a customarily huge event. In its ten year history, the event has attracted some of the music world´s biggest names and this year is no different: Yngwie Malmsteen, Jerry Donahue, Carmine Appice, Glenn Hughes, Stone Gods and more will be appearing, as will an understandably sad Jennifer Batten.
Here´s the running order for Saturday´s guitar-hem:
10.00am Doors open
11.00am - 11.20am Sarah Jory
11.25am - 11.55am Jerry Donahue
12 noon -12.30pm Doug Wimbish
1.20pm - 1.50pm Stone Gods
2.00pm - 2.30pm Jennifer Batten
3.00pm - 3.45pm Glenn Hughes
4.00pm - 4.45pm Yngwie Malmsteen
Drumfest will take place at the same venue on Sunday 12th

Simon Bradley is a guitar and especially rock guitar expert who worked for Guitarist magazine and has in the past contributed to world-leading music and guitar titles like MusicRadar (obviously), Guitarist, Guitar World and Louder.
