British Folk: Tuning with Martin Carthy and the art of guitar building
Channel 5 aired a month of shows in April called My Music - focusing on British folk musicians. The programs included the excellent Seth Lakeman (featured in the next issue of Guitarist) and Kate Rusby. The Following clips didn't feature in the series but are now available online - the first features British folk legend Martin Carthy explaining his favourite guitar tunings, the second is an insight into the world of guitar craft with luthier Peter Barton (www.peterbartonguitars.co.uk) who builds Kate Rusby's acoustic guitars.
