The Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM Brighton) and the Bristol Institute Of Modern Music (BIMM Bristol) are launching a whole new set of jaw dropping Summer Schools for 2009. This includes the BIMM Brighton Total Guitar Summer School (hosted by Total Guitar Editor Steve Lawson), the BIMM Brighton Metal Hammer Summer School and the BIMM Bristol Total Guitar Summer School.
The schools promise to be the biggest and most impressive ever with an awesome line up of guests, tutors, backline and prizes. This year sees BIMM endorsees VANS, Orange Amps, Laney Amps, Mapex Drums, Atticus clothing and Lowlife clothing offering up some incredible prizes for the Summer Schools. Free Orange and Laney guitar stacks are up for grabs for the best guitar players. Mapex are offering a brand new set of hardware. The summer schools give players the opportunity to improve technique and styles whilst rubbing shoulders with the stars. During all summer schools players study technical development and live performance skills using industry standard equipment modern and vintage under the guidance of the biggest names in music.
Between them the college tutors and guests have sold hundreds of thousands of albums signed to major and independent record labels, had chart hits, toured the world at stadium level (including Australia, Japan, USA), played main stage at Download, Glastonbury, Reading, Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest, recorded dozens of Radio One sessions as well as having their music placed into films onto television and in video games.
