Everyone and their dog are going ape-spit over the new 3G iPhone, but for us the most exciting iPhone news is the launch of Apple´s App Store.
The App Store is available to those lucky enough to bag an iPhone 3G, owners of the original iPhone who upgrade for free to the new V2.0 software, and iPod Touch users willing to fork out the $9.99 V2.0 software upgrade fee.
The most exciting part of the store (aside from the games section - who can resist a bit of motion-sensing Super Monkey Ball action?) is of course the Music category, where on the go computer musicians can get their hands on a variety of music related applications. Aside from the gratis TapTheBeat Free (a useful BPM counter), most of the applications cost a few pounds, and include the virtual instrument recording studio Band (£5.99), and music theory trainer Karajan (£8.99).
