My Bloody Valentine to curate ATP event
Kevin Shields' band to pick December lineup

Shoegazing pioneers My Bloody Valentine will curate this year's All Tomorrow's Parties Nightmare Before Christmas event which takes place from 4-6 December this year.
The too cool for school three-day festival at Butlins in Minehead, Somerset, will have its lineup picked by Kevin Shields' band, and some names have already been announced.
The pick of the bands is legendary rockers Sonic Youth, with De La Soul and The Horrors also set to play. The only other confirmed acts so far are American hip-hop group EPMD and jazz ensemble Sun Ra Arkestra.
ATP is presented as an alternative to giant sponsored events such as V festival, with organisers and bands staying in the same accommodation as festival-goers.
Tickets for the festival go on sale at the usual online outlets on Friday (17 April) at the early bird cost of just £130. That price will rise by £10 in a week and £20 in a fortnight. More information is available at the ATP website.
We wonder if Shields will have any new material ready for MBV's show. Don't hold your breath.
