Beach Boys enlist Neil Young, Flea for album
Al Jardine's A Post Card from California
A stellar cast of musical legends past and present have joined forces to appear on ex-Beach Boy Al Jardine's new solo album.
Among the contributing artists are Neil Young, Glen Campbell, Stephen Stills, Steve Miller, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and former Beach Boys colleague Brian Wilson.
The album, A Post Card from California, recalls the laid back West Coast vibe that made the Beach Boys one of the most revered bands in the world.
Post-Beach Boy...
The man himself told Billboard that the album will sound like "post-Beach Boy...easy listening. In the aftershock of what we've been through, it's gonna be real nice to get into that California feeling."
Jardine is currently looking for a distributor for the album but expects to release it this summer, which would make us Smile.
